The most popular of all our Corka range, this is cork flooring with a beautiful, varied texture and a natural colouring. This was such popular finish in our Corka Click range we decided to bring it out in on-trend cork parquet. It is made with of hand-harvested bark from the cork oak which is carefully constructed to show off the beautiful natural quality of the wood. One of the strengths of this cork tile is its versatility: it looks equally good in a small bathroom as it does as in a large space as a commercial cork flooring. Close

Our Corka gluedown tiles are made from pure cork, a completely
natural raw material, which is biodegradable, renewable and recyclable. The cork oak is an evergreen which grows up to 20m high and lives for up to 200
years. The bark has a honeycomb cell structure and is a natural fire retardant with exceptional insulating properties. No trees are cut down during harvesting. The process requires great expertise (it is the highest paid job in Portuguese agriculture) and involves carving the bark off once every nine years. The first harvest takes place only 25 years after planting.

Climate positive

All of our cork comes from a 700,000-hectare forested ecosystem in southern Portugal known as the Montado, whose trees are protected by law. These forests make a significant contribution to reducing global warming, capturing anestimated 5 percent of the country’s annual CO2 emissions, or 4.8 million tons per year. The sustainably managed cork forests support many endangered species including the Imperial eagle, wolves and the Iberian lynx, one of the most endangered cats in the world.

Commercial grade
Corka tiles are a tried and trusted choice for both domestic and commercial applications. Manufactured in a state-of-the-art factory in Portugal, they are
extremely hard-wearing and designed to showcase cork in all its beautiful, natural variation. This may include filled knots, small holes and natural irregularities of the bark. With our coloured Corka, the surface colour is intended as a subtle wash which will not mask the natural grain of the plank.

The natural flexibility of the material softens impacts and makes for a perfect, relaxing walking surface. Corka is warm, hypoallergenic and best in class for indoor air quality, as shown by numerous international certifications such as Green Guard Gold, TUV, LEAD, BREEAM and the French A+ label.

Installation Page

With its tough protective surface treatment, our Corka is easy to clean and maintain: simply sweep or vacuum and then wash it using a damp cloth or well-wrung mop. And if it should get damaged, it’s easily repairable, with a colour-matched wood filler or a replacement plank.
